A useful submission tells the teacher what it helps students learn and tells students what to do next. Use this structure to prepare one focused lesson or worksheet.
Start with a single learning goal
Write one sentence beginning “After this activity, the learner should be able to…”. Choose a goal you can check through a short response, worked problem or explanation. Identify the chapter and textbook edition you are using; the template itself is not a claim of syllabus alignment.
Build a clear sequence
- Recall: one or two questions that check the knowledge students need before starting.
- Explain: a short explanation or worked example, with each step visible.
- Practise: a small set of original questions that start simply and progress to application.
- Check: an answer key or worked solutions. Identify more than one acceptable answer where relevant.
- Reflect: one question asking students what remains unclear.
Make it easy to review
Supply the student sheet and answer key together. Give units, marks and instructions wherever needed. Add source links for adapted content and state how you have permission to use it. If the activity has been tried in class, describe the context without including identifiable student information.
Keep the teacher note honest
Say whether the activity is a new draft or has been used in a classroom. A classroom observation can be useful, but it does not by itself establish that the activity caused an improvement.
